It's a beautiful song, I really needed this...
Hey man, hope all is well. God bless! You have created some of the best Midwest emo/pop-punk I’ve ever heard.
Means a lot to hear that!💪💪💪 Right now especially is a good moment, I appreciate it so much!
love the giants shirt!
So good! What tuning is this?
I remember it should be 100% standard E. Cheers!
Tone pedals?
I used these pedals in a chain: Fender Tre-Verb + Holy Grail Plus + BOSS DD8 delay + Small Clone Chorus. The gain was coming from the amp
New music olettsss goooo
This sounds sick! What Impulse Response do you use with your Marshall? I’m new to the Captor and having a really hard time getting impulse responses to work lol
My favourite christian midwest emo artist finally released something new I am really grateful for your music bro
So valuable!🙌🙌🙌
why does this actually go so hard
“That” tone is just too happy to be sad idk
Just my subjective interpretation 🙂
They are both equal in goodness
This is absolutely amazing

i can perfectly imagine the singer from cstvt singing over that. man, now i gotta go listen to some cstvt
Очень класно. Песня моей молодости вновь заиграла свежими красками
Nice
hi mate, really superb tone you got there. anyway im really impressed how the drum's tone blend in the mix so well, can you tell me what plugin/drum simulator that you used on this track? and also are you using return channel/track for that snare verb? thank you
Sorry for getting to you so long after you asked but I used superior drummer 3 and I usually make custom kits. Don't remember for sure but most of the time I have extra snare reverb on the AUX
This rules
Desperately need a full version in the style of cstvt
Это идеальный тон. Нашёл альбомы в спотифае, рай для ушей

This is sick, which tunings did you use? It sounds a bit Open Aadd4

Great sound ? I notice that alm the guitars are using the bridge pickup. How high is the tone knob ? Did you change one of the guitars to the rhythm circuit ?
I wish I remembered more accurately regarding this vid but I can say for sure that jazzmaster pro II has some spiky highs that I usually roll away slightly with the tone knob, sometimes volume knob to make it less saturated and compressed. During clean part there is like bunch of positions playing. One of the guitars in the rolled away volume and tone of the rhythm circuit, other one is rolled away volume on the middle and the third one with rolled off volume on the bridge
I think I've rewatched the Castevet one abt 12 times now, found this video yesterday lmao
Sometimes I wish all songs had CSTVT version of them. I just like the band so much
do you know any other bands that sound like them? I weep at the fact they only have 2 albums ;( @@RustycoreOfficial

You need to know Polyphia....that vibe is here!
I like their early stuff. New stuff is awesome but too much "pop" :)
1:35 is more The 1975 vibes to me
wow this is amazing. it makes me feel emotional
It serves sooo well as a re-imagination, but NGL you probably coulda dropped that Jamiroquai one as a original and got away with it honestly sounds really cool and unique
discovered it a year later, love it! would like to know the tunings if you still remember
Thank you! Each guitar is in different one. Strat should be in standard but the rest is the secret ones I use. Unfortunately I prefer not to share them
I'm depressed heavenly
Life can be stinky hard :( Just wait when good things happen to ya, they for sure will! Gotta kind of cut through sometimes
like that tone. What pickup are you using ? neck, bridge or both ?
Thank you! Should be mostly bridge but clean part is on either middle or series switch (if I call it correctly)

Thanks! I did the cover art but each little drawing on there was different artsy people I worked with at the time. I made photos of things we drew on the cardboard boxes and add it up to the cover art :)
this is my fave style shoegaze tone. i hope i can imitate it with my telecaster, pedals, and my boss katana or my vox in a box style pedal. thank you for describing it as "airy" now maybe i have a starting place. thank you!

If you haven't found it yet, checkout the split with Mid-Carson July. "What to say? What to do?" is a banger.
Класс!
can you explain how to mix the guitar I still can't understand how to make it sound so huge
I will write down a few points that I hope will help you. 1)Try to double your guitars by recording same riff 2 times and pan tracks to the very right and very left positions. Some bands quad the guitars but it seems rather rare. 2)There is a reverb trick I learned from @Producelikeapro when you double your guitars and then create opposite AUXes with reverbs on them. For example, you have a guitar on the left that you create reverb AUX on the right for and same goes for the other side. It gives a nice space feel. 3)Try recording using microphone and cab. I used Amp sims for a long time as well as recording using mic+cab, and I noticed that recording mic+cab actually gives completely different irreplaceably bigger stereo picture especially for the gain sound. IR Loaders and Amp sims do very good job but I personally find it hard to make them sound huge. 4)Make sure you're not overcompressing your guitars/mix since excessive compression kills dynamics very much P.S: In this particular video I used an IR Loader and not mic+cab yet it sounds big. I don't remember for sure, but it seems like I used a reverb trick here
@@RustycoreOfficial thank you so much for this!!! I'll try it!
Apart from your amazing sound, I'm really impressed by the arrangements. The bass and drums sound so good and natural! Do you play them yourself or do you use software instruments? Keep it up buddy!
Dang, thank you so much! The bass is a real deal but drums are VSTs played through midi keyboard :) I use Addictive Drums and Superior Drummer most often. Always very good to see you here btw! Thank you for your support throughout so many years! P.S I know I still haven’t done Morisette in emo style but I have been keeping it in my head my for so long!
@@RustycoreOfficial Well, the drums feels amazing! Don't worry too much about the cover of Ironic. I thought it might be a cool idea, but I don't want you to bang your head over it. :) Although the covers are super cool, I prefer your original content! ❤

Rusty, hey bro, I'm trying to replicate a similar twinkly and clean guitar tone for my band. Just curious for when recording, do you use any particular plug-ins to get the same sound as when you're playing live?
There are some moving parts into this particular tone. A few preproduction (more subtle) tricks as well as post edits (tone forming). I would like to keep it a secret for now though.😔
@@RustycoreOfficialall good brother, it was worth a shot :p appreciate you even replying man, that's super cool of you! Biggest fan right here 😇
